| The
mission of Human Resources is to coordinate the efforts of all city departments
in the selection, hiring, evaluation, promotion, training and development
of a staff of dedicated and qualified personnel to serve the citizens
of Fulton.
HEALTH, DENTAL, VISION AND LIFE INSURANCE
Health insurance is provided for all full-time employees at no cost to the employee. Family coverage is available. The City will contribute half of the cost for the family coverage.
Pharmacy benefits are included with the health insurance. The City pays for the majority of the cost of your prescriptions, however, the employee is responsible for a small co-pay on generic and name brand drugs.
Dental insurance is provided for all full-time employees at no cost to the employee. Family coverage is available. The City will contribute half of the cost for the family.
Vision insurance is provided for all full-time employees at no cost to the employees. Family coverage is also available. The City will contribute half of the cost for the family.
Life
insurance is provided for all full-time employees at no cost to the employees.
If you should pass away while employed at the City of Fulton your designated
beneficiary will receive 1 and ½ times your annual salary up to
a maximum of $50,000. The City of Fulton contributes each month to the Missouri Local Government Employee Retirement system for each full-time employee who has worked for the City for more than six months. After five years of credited service you will be vested in the system and will be eligible for a retirement benefit at the appropriate retirement age. Questions

are eligible to contribute to the 457 deferred compensation plan provided
by Nationwide Retirement Solutions as soon as they begin employment with
the City of Fulton. After one year of service, the City will match your
contribution up to a maximum of 3% of your gross salary.
The
City will match your contribution up to a maximum of 5% after 5 years
of service. Paid-Time-Off
begins accruing the day you begin working for the City of Fulton as a
full-time employee. After six months of employment you are eligible to
use your PTO. An employee will accrue 20 days of PTO each year during
the first five years of employment. PTO is increased each year thereafter.
A PTO day can be used for vacation or sick leave purposes. The following days are recognized holidays for all full-time employees:
The
City of Fulton employees are eligible to receive assistance with tuition
for one class per semester. Employees must have this reimbursement approved
prior to beginning the class. Other stipulations apply; refer to the Employee
Policy Handbook for full details. |
