Planning & Protective Services

The mission of the Planning and Protective Service Department is to ensure the health, safety and welfare of our citizens, visitors and guest in Fulton, Mo. To accomplish these goals the department, through its individual staff members, educates, pre plans, communicates, evaluates, and inspects to maintain compliance with local ordinances. We encourage cooperation and coordination within the organization and other entities to foster a holistic approach to the needs of the community. We are dedicated to providing fair, accurate and consistent information to all concerned.

Inspects all food establishments within the City of Fulton. Writes temporary food permits, which are of no cost. Handles complaints of food facilities. The Health Department also handles environmental complaints about improperly licensed vehicles, weeds, trash and grass 8 inches and above this height.
