Yard
Waste Removal
Collection
of yard waste is on Wednesday and Thursday during normal growing
season between April and October. Call (573) 642-3421 to
find out when yard waste is collected in your neighborhood.
During the winter, it is collected by telephone request prior
to Thursday.
Yard
waste is defined as leaves, grass, clippings, brush under 2' in
diameter and other yard vegetation. By Missouri State law
it is not to be mixed with trash.
Requirements
for Yard Waste Removal:
Yard
waste must be placed into paper bags. Plastic bags will not be
accepted. Paper yard waste bags may be purchased from the City
of Fulton at the following locations: city hall, the purchasing
department or at the landfill. Paper bags can be delivered to
your residence by calling the landfill at 642-3421.
Bags
must not contain any other foreign items!
Bags
must be placed between curb and sidewalk.
Tree
limbs and trimming not bigger that 2' in diameter must be bundled
and tied with twine no larger than 18" in diameter, less
than 50 lbs. per bundle and not more than 4 ft. long.
Large
quantities of brush or whole trees will not be accepted.
Roots
and root ball of brush and trees are not considered yard waste
however, they may be brought to the landfill.
Have
bags on curb by 6:00 a.m.

throw away, possibly saving you the cost of a second trash cart.
Simple
Steps
Use
clear or transparent bags.
you
can put aluminum and steel cans, plastic soda and milk containers,
and clear, brown and green glass on in the same bag.
Put
all papers, magazines, books, telephone books, paper sacks, and
any other paper in a clear bag.
Break
down all cardboard boxes and tie with twine or string
Have
bags on curb by 6:00 a.m.
Recycled Used
Oil
Fulton
residents who change their own oil can dispose of their drainings
through the recycling program. Used oil will be picked up
on your regular recycling day.
Simple
Steps
Oil
must be placed in a container with a screw-on lid. Reuse
oil bottles or plastic milk jugs or the like. No glass
containers.
Oil
mixed with anything- thinners, solvents, antifreeze, etc. will
not be accepted.
No
antifreeze, solvents, herbicide or pesticide containers will be
accepted.
Two
(2) gallons maximum may be placed on the curb for collection each
week.
Reminder on weeks when there is a holiday there will be
no yard waste or recyclable pick ups.
